Air Products' chemicals business began in the early 1960s. Today, with more than $1.5 billion in annual sales, it's our second-largest business behind industrial gases.

With operations in North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia, Japan, and Australia, we serve domestic and international markets with a broad range of chemical products, including acrylic- and polyvinyl acetate-based emulsions, alkyl and specialty amines, polyfunctional and cyclic amines, polyurethane additives, epoxy additives, nitro/amino aromatic intermediates, and acetylenic-based surfactants.

As we grow our businesses globally, we're committed to investing only in businesses where we have a leading cost, technology, or market edge. With this philosophy in place today, 90% of our chemicals businesses hold the number one or two position in the market. This has provided us a strong position internationally.
